Founded by Coach Eric Moses to honor his mentor, Coach Wilfred Davis, the gym is dedicated to instilling discipline, belief, and a sense of community in its members.

Growing up as a troubled youth in Omaha, Eric Moses found stability and direction through boxing. A competitive boxer for over 10 years with more than 20 amateur bouts, he brings practical, real-world experience to his coaching. With more than five years of coaching under his belt, Eric is focused on helping young people in Omaha build confidence and resilience.

Born in Phoenix and raised in Austin and Omaha, Owen brings five years of competitive boxing experience to his role as an Assistant Coach at Davis Boxing Club. Coach Burgueño focuses on teaching strong fundamentals while encouraging athletes to appreciate boxing as both a discipline and an art form. His coaching style emphasizes the positive mental benefits of the sport, helping boxers grow confidence, resilience, and self-belief. Guided by a purpose to become the best version of himself and inspire others to do the same, he’s committed to supporting every athlete who walks through DBC’s doors.

As Founder and Chair, Eric leads the strategic direction of the Club, overseeing its mission alignment, governance, and ensuring long-term sustainability. mentorship and community support remains at the forefront of all operations. He brings nine years of B2B sales experience to the board, currently driving scalable solutions at PayPal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in creative nonfiction, a background that anchors his approach to community advocacy and organizational storytelling.

An Omaha native, Eric brings a distinguished track record of strategic leadership to the Davis Boxing Club. A former U.S. Army Officer, he currently drives marketing strategy at Johnson & Johnson MedTech and serves as a lecturer in Management Skills at Rutgers Business School where he earned his MBA. Eric leverages his operational expertise to ensure the club remains a sustainable pillar for Omaha’s youth and a premier destination for adult fitness.

With more than 30 years of professional experience, including 15 years serving as a Chief Financial Officer within nonprofit organizations, Tim is committed to ensuring every dollar entrusted to the organization is managed with integrity, transparency, and purpose. He brings seasoned financial oversight, disciplined leadership, and a heart for service in support of the organization’s mission and its impact.

Josh Mell

A financial advisor with Stifel, Josh is known for his relationship-driven approach. He previously served as a Senior Fraud Strategist at Fiserv, specializing in risk management. Deeply committed to community involvement, he also serves as Vice President of Fundraising for Memories for Kids. Josh believes strongly in creating safe, constructive environments that help young people build confidence, character, and a better future.
